












This is a gorgeous bolo dating from the last quarter of the 1900s, made by esteemed Navajo artist, Doris Smallcanyon who was born 1/6/49. This is a kachina, beautifully made with four pieces of Kingman turquoise and Sleeping Beauty turquoise used in the eyes very lovely silver work and also lovely stones. This bolo measures 3″ high and 1-3/4″ wide across the curve. The tips are very old ones that I’ve seen on some of the finest pieces, 1 high. The tie measures about 37 end to end with the tips. Signed with her usual engraved signature, not marked for silver content, but it is sterling silver at. 925 or at least coin silver at. The condition is excellent vintage, wearable and collectible. There are no problems. The back looks like the patina was mostly cleaned off.
